This has nothing to do with transposition of root note etc. Whether synth or device receiving that MIDI note transposes it is not relevant to this subject. ![]() In all DAWs, Middle C is always MIDI note 60, and in "A=440Hz 12-TET" tuning that always means 261.626Hz, no matter if it labeled as C3, C4, or C5. ![]() nor does anything need to be transposed anywhere nor does it affect MIDI imports nor exports, labeling on piano roll GUI does not change actual pitch, Middle C is always MIDI note 60, meaning 261.626Hz in 12-tone equal temperament ![]() First, apologies for making yet another thread about this. ![]()
